Namibia & Botswana Family Adventure

Nicola Egan's aged 14... 'Adventure travel is fantastic, so brilliant that I did not want to come home. Here are a few excerpts from my diary. Our overland adventure took us to a bushman's school. The bushman children from the school sang for us. Later we were allowed to sit in on part of an English lesson and go into the village to see where they lived.... We pitched our tents and walked to the waterhole that was packed with elephant, zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, springbok and eland.... There are loads of activities on offer in Swakopmund and we are all going quad biking and sand boarding in the desert tomorrow... . Today Denford cooked us the best meal ever, right in the middle of the Namib Desert.... Mum found it hard work climbing Dune 45, but we reached the top in time to see the sun rise, then we jumped and rolled down to the bottom.... I can't believe the adventure holiday with Dragoman is over. I don't want to leave everyone.'
Add to this, Victoria Falls, Botswana's incomparable Okavango Delta and the fantastic wildlife of Chobe Nat. Park, and I think you have the best adventure family holiday available. Overland travel is an excellent way for a family to experience Africa, not just the wildlife of an African safari holiday but also the local tribal people you meet along the way. Our family trips must comply with our principles of responsible tourism and responsible travel. Playing football in a Caprivi village is as much a highlight as visiting Etosha National Park.' ... Charlie Hopkinson, father and director.
