Day 2: Lake Manyara / Serengeti Depart for the Serengeti National Park, the oldest and largest National Park in Tanzania. The Serengeti is world renowned for one of the most breathtaking events in the animal kingdom, the annual wildebeest migration. The great migration in the Serengeti is a mass exodus of 1.5 million wildebeest together with half a million zebra, which follow a 500 mile route from Tanzania to Kenya and back to Tanzania, culminating in the southern Serengeti. Day 3: Serengeti National Park Spend the day game viewing in the Serengeti National Park - undoubtedly the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world, unequalled for its natural beauty and scientific value. Day 4: Serengeti / Ngorongoro Transfer westwards to the protected World Heritage Site, the Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is the largest caldera in the world and the floor of the crater lies 610 metres below the rim. Day 5: Ngorongoro Descend to the crater floor for a full day of game viewing and sightseeing. The wild-life found in the area, includes over 25 000 larger animals, mostly zebra and wildebeest, living within the crater itself. This is also undoubtedly one of the best places to see black rhino as well as large prides of lion. Other game to look out for includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, warthog, buffalo, eland, and antelope. Day 6: Ngorongoro / Kilimanjaro (B) Depart Ngorongoro and transfer back to Kilimanjaro.
