Montreal Singles Weekend - Labor Day Weekend

Montreal is as diversified as Montrealers themselves....

Mount-Royal situated in the heart of downtown provides a spectacular view of the city including the olympic stadium built for the 1976 summer games.

Discover the Biodome and Botanical Gardens, housed in the former stadium. The educational and entertaining Biodome consists of four different ecological habitats - rain forest, polar, marine and forest - where visitors can see the plants and animals native to each ecosystem. The polar penguins and puffins and the tropical monkeys and parrots will enthrall you.

Situated on the mountain is St-Joseph's Oratory, the world's largest pilgrimage center dedicated to St.Joseph. At the foot of the mountain discover Montreal and McGill Universities.

A tour of Montreal would not be complete without a visit to the Notre-Dame Basilica situated in the heart of Old Montreal. Located between the river and the city centre, Old Montreal and the Old Port will take you on a historic tour of a great North American metropolis. So much of Montreal's unique past is still visible today-from the place where the city was founded in 1642, to physical evidence of all periods, such as the French colony's winding paths, remarkable 18th- and 19th-century architecture and the first Canadian skyscrapers. Architectural lighting has made the Old Port and Old Montreal more romantic and charming than ever, highlighting their rich past and the museums, boutiques, sidewalk cafes and public places that are alive with activities all year long.

We also visit Sainte-Helene's Island, site of Expo 67, feature the exciting Montreal Casino. The casino consists of three buildings. Two of these, the French Pavilion and the Quebec Pavilion, were built for the Expo. The third building is an annex built by the casino. The main building has five floors. There are over 3200 slot machines and over 120 gaming tables in the casino.

Of course there will be time to shop and a must for all shoppers is the 'underground city', a 29 km underground network where the weather is always just right! Montreal offers phenomenal shopping from serious chic to unique gifts. Browsing or buying, you'll discover great shops all over the city.

For the night owls Crescent street and St-Denis street along with (the Main) St-Laurent Boulevard feature some of the trendiest night clubs, restaurants and bistros in the city. Montreal is ranked 5th in the world for nightlife - although 'happy-hour-to-late-breakfast-life' would be more accurate. In every outdoor cafe, street party, neighbourhood pub, trendy club and after-hours dance palace, our unique joie de vivre takes over and keeps the party going 'till the wee hours.
